Windows

  1. Install the latest version of Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store.

  3. Open Apple Devices, and navigate to your Apple TV 2G.
  4. Hold the Shift key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
  5. Select the AppleTV2,1_5.3_10B809_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
  6. Wait for the restore to complete, and the Apple TV 2G to reboot.

macOS

  1. Plug your Apple TV 2G in to your Mac.
  2. Navigate to your Apple TV 2G in Finder.
