  1. Install the latest version of Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store.

  4. Hold the Shift key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
  5. Select the iPad_Spring_2022_26.4_23E246_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
  6. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Air 5 (Cellular) to reboot.

macOS

  1. Plug your iPad Air 5 (Cellular) in to your Mac.
  2. Navigate to your iPad Air 5 (Cellular) in Finder.
  3. Hold the Option or Alt key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
  4. Select the iPad_Spring_2022_26.4_23E246_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
  5. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Air 5 (Cellular) to reboot.

Linux

  1. Install idevicerestore.
  2. Plug your iPad Air 5 (Cellular) in to your PC.

This update also includes the following enhancements:

  • Support for AirPods Max 2

  • 8 new emoji including an orca, trombone, landslide, ballet dancer, and distorted face are available in the emoji keyboard

  • Compact tab bar option in Safari gives you more space to browse and lets you search directly from the active tab

  • Open window indicator appears when you switch to an app with hidden or minimized windows

  • Freeform gains advanced image creation and editing tools, and a premium content library, joining Apple Creator Studio

  • Mark reminders as urgent from the Quick Toolbar or by touching and holding, and filter for urgent reminders in your Smart Lists

  • Purchase Sharing lets adult members in Family Sharing groups use their own payment method when making purchases, without relying on the family organizer
