Windows

  1. Install the latest version of iTunes from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Plug your iPad mini 4 (WiFi) in to your PC.
  3. Open iTunes, and navigate to your iPad mini 4 (WiFi).
  4. Hold the Shift key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
  5. Select the iPad_64bit_TouchID_13.4.1_17E262_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
  6. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad mini 4 (WiFi) to reboot.

macOS

  1. Plug your iPad mini 4 (WiFi) in to your Mac.
  2. Navigate to your iPad mini 4 (WiFi) in Finder.
  3. Hold the Option or Alt key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
  4. Select the iPad_64bit_TouchID_13.4.1_17E262_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
  5. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad mini 4 (WiFi) to reboot.

Linux

  1. Install idevicerestore.
  2. Plug your iPad mini 4 (WiFi) in to your PC.
  3. Open a terminal, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g. cd ~/Downloads
  4. To perform a full erase restore, type idevicerestore -e iPad_64bit_TouchID_13.4.1_17E262_Restore.ipsw and press enter.
  5. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad mini 4 (WiFi) to reboot.

  1. Open PowerShell, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g. cd Downloads

  • Addresses an issue on iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation) and iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation) where the flashlight may not turn on after tapping the Flashlight button in Control Center or on the Lock screen

  • Addresses a bug with the Settings app where choosing Bluetooth from the quick actions menu on the Home screen would fail
