Windows

  1. Install the latest version of Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Plug your iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi) in to your PC.
  3. Open Apple Devices, and navigate to your iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi).
  4. Hold the Shift key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
  5. Select the iPad_Pro_HFR_13.4.1_17E262_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
  6. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi) to reboot.

macOS

  1. Plug your iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi) in to your Mac.
  2. Navigate to your iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi) in Finder.
  3. Hold the Option or Alt key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
  4. Select the iPad_Pro_HFR_13.4.1_17E262_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
  5. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi) to reboot.

Linux

  1. Install idevicerestore.
  2. Plug your iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi) in to your PC.
  3. Open a terminal, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g. cd ~/Downloads
  4. To perform a full erase restore, type idevicerestore -e iPad_Pro_HFR_13.4.1_17E262_Restore.ipsw and press enter.
  5. Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Pro 2 (12.9-inch, WiFi) to reboot.

  1. Open PowerShell, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g. cd Downloads
  2. Type Get-FileHash iPad_Pro_HFR_13.4.1_17E262_Restore.ipsw -Algorithm SHA1
  3. The output of the command should match the following checksum: bda8ee3c1ce4dc22650aa241784a4f7c84d0545b. If it doesn't, you may need to redownload the file.

  • Fixes an issue where devices running iPadOS 13.4 could not participate in FaceTime calls with devices running iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier

  • Addresses an issue on iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation) and iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation) where the flashlight may not turn on after tapping the Flashlight button in Control Center or on the Lock screen

  • Addresses a bug with the Settings app where choosing Bluetooth from the quick actions menu on the Home screen would fail
