✗ This firmware is not signed. This means you cannot restore to it in iTunes.
The instructions below are included for reference only.
Windows
- Install the latest version of iTunes from the Microsoft Store.
- Plug your iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model) in to your PC.
- Open iTunes, and navigate to your iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model).
- Hold the Shift key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
- Select the
iPad_Pro_A12X_A12Z_15.1_19B74_Restore.ipsw
file that you downloaded.
- Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model) to reboot.
macOS
- Plug your iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model) in to your Mac.
- Navigate to your iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model) in Finder.
- Hold the Option or Alt key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
- Select the
iPad_Pro_A12X_A12Z_15.1_19B74_Restore.ipsw
file that you downloaded.
- Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model) to reboot.
Linux
- Install idevicerestore.
- Plug your iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model) in to your PC.
- Open a terminal, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g.
cd ~/Downloads
- To perform a full erase restore, type
idevicerestore -e iPad_Pro_A12X_A12Z_15.1_19B74_Restore.ipsw
and press enter.
- Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPad Pro 3 (12.9-inch, WiFi, 1TB Model) to reboot.
Windows
- Open PowerShell, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g.
cd Downloads
- Type
Get-FileHash iPad_Pro_A12X_A12Z_15.1_19B74_Restore.ipsw -Algorithm SHA1
- The output of the command should match the following checksum:
f9e1021de57be00dbfa141a57fc69fb47b60f3dd
. If it doesn't, you may need to redownload the file.
macOS
- Open a terminal, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g.
cd ~/Downloads
- Type
openssl sha1 iPad_Pro_A12X_A12Z_15.1_19B74_Restore.ipsw
- The output of the command should match the following checksum:

- Mandarin Chinese (Taiwan) support in the Translate app and system-wide translation

- New automation triggers based on the current reading of a HomeKit-enabled humidity, air quality, or light level sensor
Shortcuts
- New pre-built actions let you overlay text on images or gifs, plus a new collection of games lets you pass the time with Siri
This release also fixes the following issues:
- Photos app may incorrectly report storage is full when importing photos and videos
- Audio playing from an app may pause when locking the screen
- Available Wi-Fi networks may not be detected
