Windows

Install the latest version of Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store.
Plug your iPhone X (Global) in to your PC.
Open Apple Devices, and navigate to your iPhone X (Global).
Hold the Shift key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
Select the iPhone10,3,iPhone10,6_14.4_18D52_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPhone X (Global) to reboot.

macOS

Plug your iPhone X (Global) in to your Mac.
Navigate to your iPhone X (Global) in Finder.
Hold the Option or Alt key on your keyboard, and press "Restore".
Select the iPhone10,3,iPhone10,6_14.4_18D52_Restore.ipsw file that you downloaded.
Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPhone X (Global) to reboot.

Linux

Install idevicerestore.
Plug your iPhone X (Global) in to your PC.
Open a terminal, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g. cd ~/Downloads
To perform a full erase restore, type idevicerestore -e iPhone10,3,iPhone10,6_14.4_18D52_Restore.ipsw and press enter.
Wait for the restore to complete, and the iPhone X (Global) to reboot.

Windows

Open PowerShell, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g. cd Downloads
Type Get-FileHash iPhone10,3,iPhone10,6_14.4_18D52_Restore.ipsw -Algorithm SHA1
The output of the command should match the following checksum: 787d75e09752fd240ad3abe4a5880468a8c844e8. If it doesn't, you may need to redownload the file.

macOS

Open a terminal, and navigate to the IPSW file that you downloaded, e.g. cd ~/Downloads

iOS 14.4 includes the following improvements for your iPhone:

• Smaller QR codes can be recognized by Camera

• Option to classify Bluetooth device type in Settings for correct identification of headphones for audio notifications

• Notifications for when the camera on your iPhone is unable to be verified as a new, genuine Apple camera in iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max

This release also fixes the following issues:

• Image artifacts could appear in HDR photos taken with iPhone 12 Pro

• Fitness widget may not display updated Activity data

• Typing may be delayed and word suggestions may not appear in the keyboard

• The keyboard may not come up in the correct language in Messages

• Audio stories from the News app in CarPlay may not resume after being paused for spoken directions or Siri

• Enabling Switch Control in Accessibility may prevent phone calls from being answered from the Lock Screen
